In a world where one of our main cultural narratives is founded on the dogma of separation between matter and spirit, how does the individual find deep-rooted meaning? If we look to the opposite end of the spectrum, can community be the main driver in providing a sense of purpose and value? These are some of the essential questions that I deal with in my practice as a filmmaker and visual artist. By sharing my findings with others, and thus breaking with the constructed western ideals of comfort, I seek to ignite a thought process where the collective wellbeing outweighs the individual.

 

The basis of my work is founded on the idea that once we see what others do for change, we feel encouraged to do the same by making the intangible tangible. I seek to develop an openness to embracing the unknown yet maintaining a strong voice of reason that harmonises the often naïve and innocent layers of idealism.
